I am not your typical drummer... I have been a musician for 25+ years and sometimes I feel like a bit of an impostor
behind the drums. I started playing guitar in church bands in "bible belt" Texas. A lot of my time was spent learning
songs for other people and not what I really wanted to play, but when I would practice at home I would learn as much
Metal and Rock as I could. Being from Texas I would spend most of my time playing in country cover bands. If I
wanted to play anything heavy, I had to learn all the parts myself. So I took on other instruments like Bass, Piano, and
finally Drums! Over the years I have gotten to play drums in several projects, such as the Oklahoma Punk Band "Earth
A.D.", and tons of cover bands.
I have worked many years on the back side of the music industry as a Guitar Tech and Stage Manager for touring
bands. Every show, I would soundcheck each instrument and mic on stage before moving to the Drums. At first its not
that exciting hitting a tom a dozen times for front of house, but then when you get to do the full kit, even for just a few
seconds in front of thousands of people it's pretty amazing.
Now I own my own repair shop: Ground Zero Guitar Repair. After restoring an instrument to spec, I like to record
videos of cover songs. When time allows, I do more elaborate covers, shot, recorded, and produced by myself.
My current kit is a 6 Piece Mapex Armory in Ultramarine, a Mid 60 Ludwig Acrolyte snare, Soultone Cymbals (of
course!) and I am now endorsed by Collision Drumsticks!

What I noticed most about Soultone over other brands is its longevity. I have seen dozens of cymbals crack, chip,
keyhole, and split over the years as a tech. But Soultone Cymbals stand up so well to the abuse of getting hit over and
over.
On top of the durability, the tone of Soultone Cymbals stands apart as one of the absolute best in the industry.
Whether it is a custom brilliant super bright crash or a natural finished dark tone, Soultone stands out in a drum mix.

With their durability and tone, Soultone price point makes them the best choice for beginners and experts. I have
purchased other brands’ cheap sets and broken them after a few months of playing and had to spend more to replace
them, so the price really isn't worth it. Soultone has something for everyone's price range!

Everyone I have personally dealt with has been amazing. From ordering to customizing and everything in between.
They all have been super friendly and answered every question I could come up with! I'm proud to tell everyone about
them and show everyone I meet my cymbals!
