Stephen O'Hearn grew up cutting his teeth on the streets of Boston. At an
early age he always had a drumstick or banging on an old toy drum until his
Father finally bought him his first real kit at the age of 7. Stephen is
one of 8 kids but the only one who showed any interest in the arts. After
taking lessons, for a few years he joined up and played with the local drum
corps at 12 until he made it to the Boston Crusaders aging out. In High
school he knocked around with some kids rock bands but performing and
recording became his passion. His dream for playing for Saturday Night Live
ws born. All thru college in Boston he played and recorded with up and
comers, Berkley and UMASS people he met until he decided to move to NYC.

While in New York and working a day job, he fast became a staple playing at
the world famous Bitter End, CBGB's and other locales. Often you would find
him at Euphoria Studios a rehearsal space in the heart of NYC where the
owner took interest, or pity, and taught him more than playing but how to
network and drum tuning and maintenance. The mid 90's was great for
Stephen, he got to play, gig and record with some heavyweights and was on
his way to big things. Playing with a Boston based band had the opportunity
to tour and open for major acts playing bigger venues such as Madison SQ
Garden and his favorite Jones Beach Amphitheater.

Until, 9/11.

His day job working with a company in Tower 1, and steady income was lost .
Married with an Autistic boy he decided to join the military. Spending 15
years, as a Combat Medic and eventually becoming an officer-Captain in the
Intelligence field until he was medically retired from service due to 3
combat tours injuries. With no regrets, he still found the time to keep his
hands moving and has an open invitation to play with the gospel Choir in
Kandahar, Afghanistan.

Returning back to Colorado Springs, now with 3 children, but more time at
home, finally found the time get back playing. Kicking around the Colorado
scene for a short time then hooking up with Terry Spann of Aleister Wild.
Playing for almost a year with this rock-heavy metal group the band was
afforded an opportunity to go on tour for the Armed Forces Entertainment
until tragedy struck. After a show in October, Terry Spann was killed after
a fight. Leaving the band and 1/2 of its members in jail. Not Stephen.

Taking a step back and regroup, he was able to find new artists to play
with. Country, Rock, Metal, just about anything he could to keep motivated.
He found himself playing with Tribute bands and then taking a short tour
with Shawn Lee Stamps (Top 100 Nashville Up and Coming Stars), Multiple
Recordings with Brian Coe Productions in Denver and playing shows and
recording with Crystal Eyez and Mosquito Pass. Recorded with Ralph Patlan
(Megadeath) in Arizona for a Tribute album for a prominent Hell's Angel.
Record new videos and music, with Crystal Eyes and their newest release "The
Choice" and even been in a movie! (2022-Release-due to the NDA unable to
release the name at this time)

Today, the day job is working at US Space Command in Colorado Springs as the
Joint Staff-Operations (J34) Mission Assurance Assessments Branch Chief--It
pays the bills...

He is ready to go! Now with SOUTLTONE CYMBALS and armed with new motivation
and is ready to find that big touring opportunity!
