Simon “SiFi” Fishburn is an Australian drummer, performing artist, multi-instrumentalist, educator and producer now residing in Brooklyn, New York. Before relocating to New York City in 2012, he played for renowned Australian artists such as Andy Firth, Craig Calhoun and the Brothers of Oz, Kevin Hunt, Adrian Cunningham, Andrew Oh and Melinda ‘Mindy’ Jackson. He also played and recorded for major label artists such as Tania Bowra, Roger Frampton, Anita Spring, and Ben Fields.

In New York, Simon’s accomplishments have ranged from high-end event bands, to backing Broadway and TV actors such as Billy Lewis Jr. and Samantha Marie Ware (from the TV show ‘Glee’), and James T. Lane (Broadway’s Chicago and Kiss Me, Kate!). He has had the honor of sharing the stage with world class musicians such as Richie Cannata (Billy Joel), Lee Hogans (Prince, Jay-Z, The Jonas Brothers) and Kevin Hunter (Shania Twain, Janet Jackson).

Simon is currently playing with classically trained, rock violinist and world music composer - Daisy Jopling (Hans Zimmer, Bobby McFerrin, Triology) in The Daisy Jopling Band, playing infamous New York venues such as The Iridium, The Cutting Room, Chelsea Table and Stage, and The Paramount Theatre (Peekskill, NY). He also plays and records with the punk rock band Erin Maya and The Reckoning (local New York band and creators of a new Broadway Musical: The Complete Picture, featuring Off-Broadway co-creator and musical director of the smash hit Titanique). Performing and recording with Lukka (electro-indie), ADM Talent (award winning corporate agency) and drum trio The Beat Benders. Simon is also in demand playing in the New York City cabaret scene with Yasuhiko Fukuoka (award winning pianist and cabaret musical director) and Regina Martin (vocalist - performing at Birdland, NY).

Simon’s own electro-pop/funk band SiFi, had their debut single ‘Calling Out Your Name’ featured in the Netflix Original TV Series ‘Tales of the City’ (episode 9 "Rainbow Warriors" airing in 2019 and licensed through NBC/Universal International). Their second single ‘Don’t Let Me Go’, was digitally released through Infinity Gritty/Ropeadope Records.

You can also catch Simon singing and playing guitar in local New York schools and public stages as the energetic and engaging children’s performer Mr. Simon. He released his debut album ‘Beep, Moo, Koala and a Choo Choo’ in 2025 and 1st children’s book in 2026.
