Growing up in Upstate New York, Shawn took on a love for metal music. All starting with his mothers love for Ozzy Osborne and Metallica. Shawn focused on the one instrument that drove the metal sound. The Drums. Learning how to sing and scream on his own time. Shawn started taking drum lessons at 9 years old and played percussion in his school band. Having a natural feel for the drums, Shawn started learning the drumset at age 12 and started learning the Double pedal at 17 years old. Currently, Shawn is playing Drums in Cleansed In Embers. A local band out of upstate Syracuse, New York. He's had the opportunity to play along greats such as Soulfly, Unearth, Chelsea Grin, Whitechaple and More. Using the soultone Explosion series, Shawn is growing his sound everyday.
