Sam Frame
Sam “The Hammer” Frame (Born June 3rd, 1986) is an American drummer and
percussion innovator born in Singapore as an American citizen. He is the current
drummer for the 80’s powerhouse tribute band LazrLuvr (where he gained his stage
name “The Hammer”) and the country rock group The Dirty South Band and many
other projects. He has built his career on his intuitive and versatile playing and has been
featured on albums ranging from funk all the way to death metal.
He gained the nickname “The Hammer” from his decisive, powerful and energetic
performances.
Sam had his introduction into the music business with his creation of the reclaimed
carbon fiber drumstick that was adopted by Vic Firth and branded as the Titan series.
“I was first introduced to Soultone when I was at NAMM in Anaheim and absolutely loved
their cymbals. I had the chance to play most of their selection and knew that these are
what I want to outfit my kit with. They play great on stage as well as studio applications
and have been such an integral part of my setup since I signed with them.”
