Rodrigo Iter, born in the city of Coquimbo - Chile, from a child begins his interest in drums, as his father, Ruben Iter, professional drummer, is the one who inspires him and leads the way of his music training.His father gives him his first drum lessons, and then continues learning by himself and joining his father in live shows. At the age of 12 decides to leave the primary school (7th grade), to devote his life completely to music.

Takes classes in rhythmic reading, embarked on the study and investigation concerning the drums and percussion in a more pedagogical way, studying books and videos, both clinical and concerts, always self-taught. Chepito Areas, Michael Shrieve, Karl Perazo, Gregg Bissonette,Dennis Chambers, Dave Weckl, Horacio Hernandez, part of an endless list of drummers and percussionists from which was learning to successfully create his own style.

Is part of more than 150 bands in Latin music, as well as many of Rock, Latin Jazz, Jazz Standard, Funk etc. In its early days he has the opportunity to become part of popular

dance bands, then began his career as a most professional manner, incorporating to very important jazz bands in the country, with the best exponents at the time, though a teenager his talent for jazz is recognized. That's when he starts to be invited to participate in major jazz scenes of Chile, surprising the audience, with only 16, he was

giving a lot of talk at home. After a while he decided to move to the capital, Santiago, where he immediately called to be part of different bands, unfolding very well in different styles, timba, progressive rock,Latin jazz are some of the styles in which he faced as well as countless invitations to national and international festivals of drums and percussion, giving clinics and concerts. In 2005 he was invited to participate in the V International Festival of SCD Music School, one of the most important festivals conducted at the time in Chile, which had festival featured participation of world famous drummers such as Horatio The black Hernandez Steve Smith, Jojo Mayer, among others. The

year 2006 witnessed the first national competition of drummers in the capital, where exponents are all over the country, Rodrigo qualified for the final, competing and staying in first place, the following year the first Drumfest in Chile was held, presenting to another contest and regain 1st place, sharing the stage this time with Walfredo Reyes Jr. and Vera Figueiredo. The year 2007 recorded his first solo download Jam 1322, with 7 issues of authorship and composition, which is presented in the 2nd Drumfest in Chile, the biggest drum festival in Chile, where he shares the stage with Maxx Fury, Rick Latham and The Black Horacio Hernandez. The same year he was called to endorse part of the

prestigious brand of Tama drums, still to this day one of their artists. Rodrigo provoques lot of talk, as their system and drum set with 7 pedals, only in Chile, beyond the borders, so much so that in 2008 he was invited to present their work in Cuba, in the 1st World Meeting music dock 2008, which render the whole Cuban audience puzzled, for

receiving the congratulations of great percussion masters such as José Luis Quintana, better known as Changuito, former drummer Enrique PlaIrakere, among several others, occurred in the most important jazz club in Cuba, La Zorra y el Cuervo, twice, and as many slipway. After that he was invited by Giraldo Piloto, Klimax band director, to conduct a

Master Class in Cuba again, the feast of the drum.

Until today Rodrigo continues working on his solo projects, was invited to teach Master Class at various universities, institutes, music schools in Chile and abroad.
