Quinton Baker

Quinton “QTime” Baker was born February 24, 1983 in Amite, Louisiana and began beating on his grandmothers pots and pans shortly after.At the age of 5 he moved to Atlanta Georgia. His father, who plays the trombone, bass guitar, and drums, influenced him to be the compassionate, drummer he is today. As a child, he began to develop his love for music as he toured with his father and the Veal Brothers Gospel Group. Little did he know, this passion for music would continue to be a part of his life. Being the diverse drummer he is today, his work includes gospel, rap, jazz, neo-soul, blues and pop. He has worked with many different singers, choirs, and bands coordinating production shows, music summer camps for kids, after school musical programs and many more. Some of his experiences include 7 years of playing with Vision for Souls Family Worship Center. He currently plays for artist and singing sensations such as Kahlee Star and the Good Star Band, Roosevelt Boles and Grace, Stupid Questions, and M’lodik Seoul.

Quinton has 12 years of experience, working with various experts and influential people throughout the world. A few artist in which he has had the pleasure of working with are Kelly Price, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Dorothy Norwood, Shea Norman, Sana Blues Band, Chic Willis, Lil’ Joe Burton of BB King, Randy Skinner of P Funk, and Travis Clark and Unique Praise, Nashid Abdul,and Reggie Ward.

Although Quinton has been influenced by many, some of the most influential drummers who have made a difference in his life are Teddy Campbell, mentor and close friend Jorel “J Fly” Flynn who also endores Soultone cymbals, Brian Frasier-Moore, Ricky Lawson, Eric Green, Carlos McSwain and Calvin Rodgers.

Quinton continues to pursue his career as a song-writer and producer while recording in the studio and touring with many artist and various stage plays. Putting God first keeps him grounded and motivated to develop his craft in every way.
