Nathaniel Aguilar is a versatile multi-instrumentalist performer based in Queens, NY. His main
instruments are drum set, vibraphone, and piano.
Growing up in the suburbs of Maryland, he started on drums when he was 11 at the prompting of his
older brother Roberto, he quickly realized drums were not just a hobby when he was given opportunities
to play in his home church, local bands,
 and high school. At 15 he began piano lessons and later on in college studied mallets while he
performed with the Stetson Jazz band and symphonic band.
Nathaniel was classically trained in music from Stetson University and now lives in the NYC area where is
a music educator, drum circle facilitator, performer, and band leader. During and after college he also
was active in playing drums and percussion for musicals including The Rock and the Rabbi, Little Shop of
Horrors, Annie, Don’t Say No to the USO, Shrek, and others.
Some of his biggest influences are Bernard Purdie, Mark Guiliana, Billy Higgins, Jeff Porcaro, Dave King,
Aphex Twin, Eric Moore II and many others.
Groups he has played with includes Dish, Crush Funk Brass, Blessings Flow, Sine, Buckets and Strings,
Chuck Holden, and many others.
His groups include Waterside Vibes, Nat Aguilar Trio, and Aguilar Brass.
  Additionally, Nat composes original music and is a member of ASCAP.  Finally, he loves to spend time
with his amazing wife Margaret and fun-loving little son.
