Mike started playing drums at the age of 6 after hearing John Bonham blasting through his sister’s record player. Mike was hooked from day one, listening to as much funk, rock, and jazz as possible. He became active in his local music scene in his teen years, playing with numerous cover bands on the weekends. By his early 20s, Fields had gained experience as a session drummer with local studios and started writing original music. It was during this time he did several lessons with legendary drummer Hal Blaine. At age 25 he was touring regionally, opening for artist such as Overkill, Step Kings, Boba Flex, Sev, Jason Bonham, Supafuzz, and countless others. Over the years, Mike has played in a wide range of bands, with a focus on writing original music and developing his distinctive sound. Mr. Fields has become proficient in Rock, Country, Funk, R&B gospel, Fusion Jazz, Rockabilly, and Alternative. This versatility has gained him the reputation of being a rock solid drummer with an identifiable groove, making him a drummer that's always in high demand. Mike is currently working with several artist in the South Eastern United States.
