Michael Masci

Michael Masci

Michael Masci was born in Rome on August the 6th, 1989, and he starts playing drums when he was 15 years old.

During his education, Michael takes influences from Nu Metal, Pop Punk, Funky, Hip Hop, Pop and Electronic Music (as Tekno, Frenchcore, Dubstep, Drum n Bass, IDM), taking inspiration from drummers and dj/producers like Travis Barker, Jojo Mayer, Johnny Rabb, John Otto, Tony Royster Jr, Chad Smith, Aphex Twin, Narcotek, Weasel Busters and many others.

When he was in high school, Michael starts studying at "[Bat-te-rì-a] Professional Drumming School of Rome by Lucrezio De Seta".
Thanks to De Seta, Michael starts developing his knowledges on a professional level.

Throughout years, after playing in many underground bands, Michael starts working with some of the most important artists of the italian rap music industry (names as Noyz Narcos, Rancore, Metal Carter, and many others), thanks to some Youtube videos in which Michael himself performed and remixed some of the most iconic songs of that particular music genre.
Plus, from that moment on, he starts working as a drum teacher in his own private music studio based in Rome.

In this year, Michael is going to work with some artists who operate in different fields of music like Pop, Rap, Punk Rock and Electronic Music (especially Hardcore and Frenchcore), while still making his private drums lessons.

TESTIMONIAL:

In order to introduce you the main reason why I decided to choose Soultone, I'd like to mention a snippet from the review that Jonathan Moffett made about the brand itself:

"Soultone has it's own voice, it's own character of sound".

Jonathan's words really affected me on an emotional level, 'cause he wasn't just saying something about the cymbals sound quality. He wasn't making "the common speech", so to speak.

He was saying that Soultone allows you not to look, stylistically speaking, like someone else's "copy", and you can finally build your own way to express yourself.

Indeed, the impressive sound of these cymbals fully reflects my style, helping me to convey my way of "seeing" music as much as possible to the listener.

If I had to explain what this brand means to me, I could summarize it in a few words:
Soultone isn't just a matter of sound, is a matter of originality.
