As an indepandant artist, Michael Brush has toured and recorded all over the world with various international acts in the metal and rock scene.
Michael was born on 19th Noverber 1985 in Rugby, England. Finding his drumming feet at the age of 10, he taught himself to play by jamming along to 70's rock records of his fathers using the armchair as a makeshift drum kit. It wasn't until his teens when music really grabbed him in the form of thrash and death metal bands. With influences such as Adrian Erlandson, George Kollias, Dani Löble and Nigel Glockler, Michael was determined to be able to play more extreme types of music.
Michael has toured with UK thrashers hellbastard up until 2011, with one of his last appearances being at the punk illigal festival in Sweden.
Now Michael is focused on performing and recording with many bands on the UK scene including INCARNADINE, a new fresh death metal act.
Orbeth,(signed to K-MITCH Records) a cosmic fantasy soundscape metal band from the mind of Ben White.
Rock band mesch: whom Michael has played drums with since the age of 16, "mesch: are intitially a four piece hard rock band from Rugby in Warwickshire. They combine an abrasive, unforgiving and yet fun style of creating rock music. They produce hard riffs with rhythmic drumming and screams that echo the feel of the garage, rock/grunge bands of the mid 90's."
Michael is available for session work both live and studio.
Michael is very proud to be part of the Soultone family, "working with Iki, Mya and Tomer is a big part in my drumming carreer. I'm honoured to be playing such beautifully crafted cymbals that sound massive and can withstand heavy touring and even heavier music. I've always had a sound of cymbals that I've wanted, Soultone is that sound."
