Matt Rezetko

Matt Rezetko

Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago in 1987, Matt Rezetko has always had a devotion towards rhythm. Matt picked up the sticks at the age of 10, and has been bringing the ruckus ever since. Taking cues from his instructors Matt Daly, Joe Arteaga, and Michael "Brownie" Brown; Matt developed a unique playing style, utilizing both traditional and ambidextrous aspects of moving around the kit.

Currently, Matt performs with a variety of groups, and is not shy to take on any genre/project. Always staying ahead of the trend while learning as much as possible; Matt takes on funk, hip hop, blues, soul, electronic, rock, and fusion without hesitation . Matt’s main influences include Adam Deitch, Billy Martin, Chris "Daddy" Dave, Jon Fishman, Steve Gadd, Steve Jordan, Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson, and countless others. Matt is extremely grateful for the supportive Chicago music scene and inspiring local musicians which keep him thriving. GO SEE LIVE MUSIC!
