Having being raised on a steady diet of 90's alternative punk rock,
from the likes of Nirvana,Jawbox,Fugazi,The Jesus Lizard,Faith No
More,Pantera...but also having devoured at a young age 70's prog rock
giants like King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart… Mat Gaz's
skills are as varied as the musicians that have come to influence him.
His drumming style combines Jazz drum licks with the sheer
determination and raw energy of Punk, all the while still being
strongly seated within the Hard Rock genre.
After more than 1200 gigs all over Europe, USA, South America, New
Zealand… He is still beating those drums; never forgetting to put a
cross on the map every time he gets to play a new city, town, village,
festival, dive bar, or in fact any place that will let him put up his
kit and ROCK !!!"
