I owe my love of music to my mom and dad, who always had music playing in the house when I
was young. When I was two years old, they bought me a Charlie Brown and Snoopy snare
drum—something I’m convinced saved the rest of the house from being destroyed. From that
moment on, rhythm became part of who I was.

Like a lot of kids, I wanted to be Peter Criss in my early years. Over time, that inspiration
evolved into developing my own style—woodshedding in the garage, driving the neighbors
crazy, and learning the language of music by playing with friends. Everything changed when I
joined my first all-original band. The guitarists were operating on a Steve Vai / Joe Satriani level,
and it pushed me to level up fast. That experience raised the bar and permanently shaped how I
approach music.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to play with several bands, including Roulette Regime,
LoveSick, Primal Tribe, and a short stint in Implant. No matter where the road led, the love of
music has always lived deep in my soul. My approach to playing is simple: play from the heart
and play what the song needs—enhance the song, never destroy it.

Beyond performing, I’ve spent time in the music industry working in marketing and
management, and I’ve also been involved in the music press, hosting a podcast and doing
concert photography—seeing the scene from every angle.

Today, I spend my performance time with the 90’s tribute band FLANNEL 101, where we cover
the full spectrum of the era—from Green Day, Pearl Jam, and Stone Temple Pilots to Alanis
Morissette, Sublime, and 311. When playing these songs, I believe it’s important to reproduce
the subtle idiosyncrasies in the drumming to make our sound truly authentic. It’s a celebration
of a decade that shaped us all.
Music is my passion, and music is universal—it brings us together. Drumming is the beat, and
we all carry one inside us. The heart is the first drum.
