Malachi Morehead was born and raised in Southern California he started playing at church at 2 years old. He attended Glenville State University and studied music and was in ensemble while also playing on the football team. He decided to further his music career by going on tour with a group called The Midnight Hour, with Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge. Malachi also played on many records such as, Marcos Valle, Brian Jackson, Doug Carn, and Loren Oden.
