Makotomo Sonohara was born in South Korea and raised in Tokyo, Japan, and has dedicated the past 20 years to drumming. Starting at 11 years old, Makotomo turned his passion into a professional career, touring with popular Japanese and Korean bands. In 2015, he toured through South Korea, New York, Las Vegas, and Japan, finding inspiration in the diverse music and culture of the United States. This led him to move to Los Angeles in 2018 to pursue drumming and explore genres like Gospel, Blues, and Rock. Makotomo also served local church communities, refining his skills and collaborating with musicians in Los Angeles and New York. Makotomo demonstrates his talents across a diverse array of musical genres, including blues, gospel, rock, and K-pop, and he skillfully incorporates these elements into his distinctive drumming style. He now focuses on his music career in Tokyo.
