My name is Luke Rodgers going by the artist name Halffamous.
I was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, and I now live in the city of Hamilton with
my wife & music partner, Maria Rodgers, and daughter.
I am a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer.
On top of being a part of multiple bands, I have my own project going under the
name Halffamous as well as a studio called Halffamous Studios.
I am the Creative Director at Activate Church Hamilton and founder of Activate Music
acting as a performer, songwriter, and producer.

I started drumming when I was 2 years old and haven’t stopped since.
I later went on to study Music at Vision College and obtained my Music degree,
majoring in drums.
I have had the privilege of playing at many different churches and other venues, and
in different genres over the years. You will most frequently find me playing Gospel,
CCM, Pop and Alternative Music.

Since finding Soultone Cymbals a few years ago I have been playing with Soultone
Cymbals exclusively.
I love the build quality, fair pricing, and beautiful tone of the cymbals as well as the
support and service Soultone provide. People are always asking about the cymbals I
use and how I achieve such a ‘musical’ timbre.
They are at such high quality that my affiliated church has purchased them for every
week use.
