Drummer, percussionist and drum/music teacher based in Cagliari (Sardinia - Italy), I use
to play in several acts here in the island of Sardinia, both as a sessionman and as a
regular drummer. I started to listen to a lot of music and play small drums when I was 5 to
10 yrs old, then I started again at 14 and played my very first gig in June 2004 at a high-
school party, been involved in the rock’n’roll and punk scene of my hometown playing lot of
gigs alla around Sardinia, and in the meanwhile I started to join heavy-metal scene.
In 2009 I attended at N.A.M.M. (Nuova Audio Music Media) in Cagliari where I met a blues
guitarist and started to work with him for several gigs. The year after (2010/2011) I started
to study jazz music at Conservatorium in Cagliari and at the same time I formed my
deathmetal band “IATO” with whom I’ve composed and recorded three albums
(MARCHIO DI FABBRICA, ep 2012, self produced - DIALEKTIK, ep 2014, selfproduced -
UCRONIA, full lenght, 2019 Grimm Distribution,Satanath.com/distro,The Triad Rec.) and I
had the chance to play along Sardinia and northern Italy and to be on the same stage as
support for Obituary, Entombed, Necrodeath to name a few. During 2012 I started to
collaborate with the alternative italian rock band T.A.Q.B. starting to play live gigs around
Sardinia.
In 2016 I joined two different Sardinian bands:
for a year and a half since may 2016, I was behind the skins for local thrash metal band
“ABDUCTION” along with I share the stage with canadian metal masters Voivod and the
italians Necrodeath, and played some gigs in north Italy.
Both in May 2016, I received a call to join local garage punk heroes “THE MOORAYS”
with whom I played till 2021. We recorded 7”vinyl ep AGAINST THE SEAWEED
(Fast’n’Loud rec.) in 2017. Soon after we moved for a couple of gigs around Italy having
the chance to share the stage with californian punk underground legends The Morlocks.
In 2019 we recorded OFF THE NET (full lenght, 2019 via Fast’n’Loud rec.) and we played
a bunch of gigs in northern Italy including Sauzipf Rocks Festival in Dobriach (Austria).
At the end of 2018 sardinian grindcore band STIGMATIZED wanted me to stay behind the
drumkit just in time for an Italian mini tour of 10 gigs all around the peninsula, and in 2019
we recorded “...A WALL OF FALSENESS” (full lenght, 2020 Nothing Left rec./Fast’n’Loud
rec./Italian Extreme Underground rec.). We hit the stage along with many other italian
grindsters at underground famous Italian extreme festival “GO FEST VOL.10” in Rome.
In 2015 (Jan. To Jun), thank to Erasmus project, I spent six months in Pitea, Sweden, to
study music at MusikHogSkolan i Pitea. During that period I formed a deathmetal band
along with other school musicians called DISREGARD THE BLOOD with whom I played a
gig downtown.
In July 2021 I graduated (Bachelor’s degree) a in jazz drums at Giovanni Pierluigi Da
Palestrina in Cagliari, in which I’m still attending master course graduation in jazz drums
(last year).
I’ve been teaching drums privately since 2009, collaborating both on stage and in the
studio, with plenty of local musicians been involved in many genres, easily switching from
hard’n’heavy and extreme music like metal and hard rock to blues, jazz and acoustic
situations on which I mainly play percussions and occasionally sing.
