Lisa Stix

Lisa Stix, proud endorser of Soultone Cymbals, was born and raised on Long Island, NY to a small Italian-American family, the only girl and youngest of three. Lisa always wanted to be a drummer since birth and started studying the craft seriously at the age of 12. Lisa performed with her school band, orchestra, pit band, jazz band, all district band, as well as her church folk group, youth group, and parish musical group. Lisa has 4 gold medals for her snare drum performances for NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association). At the age of 15 Lisa began teaching drums privately in homes and in studios. During this time, Lisa played in countless bands around Long Island. Lisa attended Hofstra University, was the captain of the Pep Band, and played at the famed Madison Square Garden (New York) and Richmond Coliseum (Virginia). At the age of 19, Lisa broke onto the scene with Internet Records Recording artist “Andrejack.” Lisa toured with Andrejack from 2005 to late 2006, picking up an affiliate endorsement with Silverfox Drumsticks, as well as opening for “Barnaby Bye.” From 2006-2010 Lisa finished her schooling and played with various artists on Long Island. In 2011 Lisa founded and formed the band KNIGHT SKREAMS, with her now husband, Shawn Beattie (Guitar), along with Craig Zeolla (Vocals), and Paul Bubelnik (Bass). Lisa and Knight Skreams have accomplished much in a short amount of time and there are no plans of slowing down. The band has appeared on and in all sorts of media including television, radio, and print, they also had the honor of opening for Filter and Fuel in the summer of 2012. Knight Skreams' debut album “Skreams in the Night” is distributed through Dynasty Records to FYE Music Stores, and HMV Music Stores across the globe.
