Kyle McCormick started playing steel pan at age 12 in a community group, where he was exposed to music from all around the world. By playing Pan he was able to play with many renowned artists from around the world, such as Andy Narell, Victor Provost, Ray Holman, Duvone Stewart, and Leon "Foster" Thomas. When Kyle was in High School he competed in the Virginia International PANFest with the Rhythm Project All Stars, where they won the title of Grand Champion in both 2009 and 2010. Pan also gave him the opportunity to travel and perform internationally. In 2015, he went to Trinidad to compete in the ICP International World Steelband Panorama. From 2013 to 2019, Kyle was on staff for the Ellie Mannette Festival of Steel, held annually in West Virginia. In this position, he taught steel pan technique to beginners, assisted ensemble lessons, and acted as a fill-in performer when needed. While playing in a steelband he learned how to play drum set. He has been a fill-in drummer for many local bands that play a wide variety of music, from Country to Afro-Cuban Jazz. He now plays with blues-based rock band, “Anthony Rosano and the Conqueroos”. They have opened for revered artists, such as Styx, Blue Öyster Cult, Bob Seger, ZZ Top, and Tab Benoit. The band is now on a national tour promoting their newest album “Cheat the Devil
