Kevin McLellan is a dedicated music educator, percussionist, and advocate for arts education based in South Carolina. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music with a concentration in Percussion, where he developed a strong foundation in performance, pedagogy, and ensemble leadership.

Mr. McLellan currently serves as Director of Bands at Dillon Middle School, where he has built a culture of excellence, discipline, and pride within the program. Under his leadership, the band program has consistently earned Superior and Excellent ratings at state and regional performance assessments, including the South Carolina Band Directors Association Concert Performance Assessment and national festival events. His ensembles have also received recognition at jazz and concert festivals, demonstrating versatility and musical growth across styles.

Beyond the podium, McLellan is deeply committed to student development both musically and personally. He works to provide students many from underserved communities—with access to high-quality musical experiences, mentorship, and performance opportunities that extend beyond the classroom.

In addition to his work in the classroom, McLellan serves in leadership at the state level with the Tri-M Music Honor Society, where he advocates for student musicianship, academic excellence, and service through music education.

As a percussionist, McLellan brings both performance experience and educational insight to his craft. His passion for sound quality, musical expression, and ensemble balance fuels his commitment to using and promoting high-quality equipment.
