Karnell Robinson

Karnell was born September 8, 1977 in St. Louis Missouri. His love for the drums started at the age of 2 playing on his mother’s furniture. By the age of eight, his musical career began in the church were his uncle pastored. Later, opportunity became available at his grandfather’s church where he played percussion and later moved to drum set. Meanwhile, Karnell attended Parkway Central were he learned how to read music and about other styles of music. Over the years, he’s had the opportunity to perform at the Blue Room, The Foundation (KC MO), Kansas City Chief’s half time show, Rose Bowl Parade, Disneyland, Missouri Jazz Orchestra (MOJO) (Springfield, MO), Marching Band, Jazz Band, and Jazz Combo while attending (Missouri State University Springfield, MO) just to name a few. He competed at district finals in Guitar Centers Drum Off in Colorado in 2007. He is currently in the process of publishing his book “Time”, For A New Generation Of Drumming, hosting sessions at the Blue Room in Kansas City from time to time, studio sessions, giving lessons, and posting material on his You Tube Channel.
