Justin “J. Miles” Ellison
Justin “J. Miles” Ellison is the world’s most unexpected talent. A native of Montgomery Alabama, J. Miles began playing drums at the young age of 4. He started playing at New Life Church of God in Christ in Montgomery Al, where his father, Terry Ellison, pastors. By age 7 he was on the payroll for the church and is currently the head percussionist. At 18 he accompanied the Tribe of Judah gospel choir on a 6-state tour inspiring all who were blessed to hear their ministry. J. Miles describes his drumming technique as “Soulful with a fresh twist of Rock and Hip-Hop” and never hesitates to stamp his signature on any project. His superior talents are well known across the southern region and he has played for various artist including Donnie McClurkin, The Pace Sisters, Tye Tribbett, Mary Mary, and many more.. He has backed up several bands, such as We Hail from Sparta, Abstrakt Soul, and currently started his own group, J.Gene & The Company, with featured artist Chantelle "Gene" Robinson.
When J. Miles isn’t gigging, his time is spent perfecting his craft and making videos for promotion and exposure purposes. His future plans are to become a full-time drummer, and continue to “use his God-given gift to touch others”.
