With sticks in hand since the tender age of nine, Josh Tilton’s rhythmic journey began in the heart of Florida. His early beats were steeped in the twang of country legends like Hank Williams Jr. and Garth Brooks, but the young drummer's pulse quickened with the infectious energy of Blink-182, No Doubt, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
A pivotal moment arrived after high school when the complex rhythms of Dave Matthews Band captured his imagination. Inspired by the unparalleled talent of Carter Beauford, Josh dedicated countless hours to mastering the intricacies of this influential drummer's style. While largely self-taught, formal lessons honed his craft during his formative years.
Nashville's vibrant music scene provided the perfect stage for Josh to cut his teeth as a studio drummer, laying down tracks for various artists. Relocating to Iowa in 2008, he joined the rock band gimikk, where his powerful drumming has been a driving force behind their original music and captivating covers.
