The Four O'Clock Five | Stanford Symphony Orchestra

A lover of music and innovation, Josh puts all he has into whatever he does, always seeking the next level by challenging himself to continuously improve. As a high school student, with the help of the guidance of Jordan Stern, David Suarez, Mike Gomez, and Ed Soph, he performed in the TMEA All-State Symphony Orchestra twice under the baton of Maestro Philip Mann, claiming first chair in the state of Texas. In 2014, he founded The Four O'Clock Five, an ensemble that has received wide critical acclaim from commercial media, jazz festivals, and online publications. His recordings have been featured on several music distributors and radio stations nationally, and he holds regular interviews and performances with KRTU 91.7 FM and KTSA 107.1 FM. In 2016, Modern Jazz Today selected several of his compositions to be aired on over 30 radio stations across the globe alongside those of Jacob Collier, Chris Potter, and Joey Alexander. In the fall of 2016 he released his first two albums, Impulse and Season of Silver. He hopes to release The Four O'Clock Five's next album, Deconstruction, and his own electronic album, Ad Infinitum, by the spring of 2017.
Josh currently attends Stanford University where he studies computer science, mathematics, and product design.
