Jon Lelesi
Jon Lelesi – Drummer | Soultone Cymbals Artist
Jon Lelesi is a passionate and dynamic drummer whose energy and versatility behind the kit have made him a standout in the alternative music scene. Based out of the East Coast, Jon’s rhythmic journey began in New Jersey, where he first made waves playing drums in the high-octane pop punk band Cut the Cuteness. His tight, aggressive playing helped shape the band’s sound and earned him a reputation as a powerful live performer.
After several years behind the kit, Jon made a bold switch to bass, joining post-hardcore outfit Catcher and The Rye for a three-year run that broadened his musical perspective and deepened his understanding of songwriting and arrangement.
Drawn back to his first love, Jon returned to drums to co-found Goonlord, a project that fused punk roots with heavier, experimental elements. His drumming in Goonlord showcased his evolving style—combining precision, groove, and raw emotion across diverse tempos and moods.
Following a brief hiatus, Jon launched his current project Signals Over Skylines, where he continues to push boundaries as the drummer. Known for its emotionally charged performances and anthemic songwriting, the band has become a vehicle for Jon's most expressive work to date.
With over a decade of experience across multiple instruments and genres, Jon brings both technical skill and creative instinct to every performance. Now a proud member of the Soultone Cymbals family, he relies on their articulate tone and powerful resonance to elevate his sound and connect with audiences on every stage.
