Enjoying an early and exciting start in the music industry, Joe Nasser is currently on
tour with Erin Coburn in promotion of her new CD Chaos Before Conformity. Between
travels to radio station interviews and gigs, Joe is progressing in his profession while
the CD receives airplay throughout the US and Europe.
Joe began his rhythmic journey in 2002 at the age of 2, playing his first recognizable
groove patterns on a home made drum kit. Coming from a musical family he was
encouraged to explore several different instruments and styles. Joe’s melodic
capabilities immediately came forth as well as his vocals, both of which influence his
approach to his music and the drum kit.
Quickly advancing with the mentoring and instruction of percussionist Matt Gardner,
Joe progressed in his training, being selected for the school band on drum kit while in
kindergarten. Joe began performing professionally at the age of 10 and frequently
shares the stage with his father, Tony Nasser on bass and his grandfather, Tony Nasser
Sr. on the tenor saxophone. This dynamic trio can be heard together in spontaneous
jams throughout the Midwest and central Florida.
In addition to writing and performing with Erin Coburn, Joe maintains a steady stream
of work performing with the Blues in the Schools group and as an on call drummer for
local groups. His musical influences range from Latin and Jazz and Reggae through
Progressive Rock and Funk, all of which he calls upon as he writes and performs.
Joe is back in the studio with Erin to begin work on their second release and is looking
forward to continuing his life pursuit and study of music.
Currently endorsed with Blanksticks drumstick company and Soultone Cymbals.
