Inspired by God first, Jarrius LR Lindsey (J Raw) is an independent multi-instrumental artist, mainly taught by his father/Maestro. He plays, but is not limited to the drums, bass guitar, and piano/keyboard. He began playing the drums in church at the age of 3, where his mom was a vocalist, other siblings sang, and dad played the piano/keyboard. He played in middle school marching band for HJH, where Stephen Ragland was band director and has learned with Bob Shayman. He also played for the Jewish community band at STBM. He has played at many churches like Chester Grove, Essential Truth Ministries, Beulah, Macedonia, FBC Wauchula, FBC Bowling Green, and more. He is a studio drummer, currently touring with Thomi Band, and continues to play for multiple churches.

After his collegiate sports career ended due to a brain injury, he turned back to music with an emphasis on therapy, healing, and positive sounds.

He has played alongside and is positively influenced by other great musicians such as Tigress, Pamela and Trace Sams, Andrew Berrien, Alonzo Bickers (AB Keys), Adrian Williams, Braylin Lamy, Ralph and Maurice Williams, Derrick Yarde, Tre Anderson, Antjuan Jones, Stefon and Gregory Hawthorne, Deaundre Holley, Antonio Screen Jr., Jarvis Robinson, Larry Jenkins, Marcell, Carlos, and many others.

He is inspired by his uncle “Lindsey”, Thomas McClary (Commodores), B Howard, Al and Lilian Lopez Jackson (Odyssey), Victor Wooten and brothers. He has co-produced Dayren Santamaria, and programming beats with Trace Thomas (MasterLab) and “Pinky” (Big3 Studios). He’s co-produced various remixes and published Universal Love Magazine.

Developments include BDTV and MOBIWEB, online platforms to highlight musicians’ remixes, covers, performances, competitions, and more. Frequency Mental Health Therapy and an energy drink are also in the works.

Motivated by his wife and son, he strives to be the best musician he can be for our Creator. In doing so, he simply encourages anyone to explore the art of music through an instrument, creating positive vibes.
