Jacob Wherley was born in Akron, Ohio, and expressed an early passion for music of all kinds.
Jacob began drumming at the age of thirteen, and has played in many other acts as a
guitarist/vocalist, including the Akron-based power metal band, Emerald Rage; a band also on
Extreme Management Group, Inc’s roster.
As a drummer Jacob’s influences include juggernauts such as John Bonham, Danny Carrey, Bill
Ward, Mario Duplantier, and Lars Ulrich. With influences such as these Jacob has proven to be
a comfortable fit in Temple Witch’s dynamics.
Temple Witch; a doom metal band hailing from Kent, Ohio, formed in August of 2020
and were quick to begin writing and recording their first album: Hand In Hand With Chaos
(released June 18, 2021). Soon after releasing their debut album, recording for the second
began, during which time the band managed to secure management with Extreme Management
