Hi, everyone! My name is Ivan Shelihov. I am from Lipetsk in central Russia. I was born on December 8, 1988. My drumming idols are John Bonham, Ian Paice, Alex Van Halen, Daniel Adair, George Kollias, Joey Jordison, John Otto, Tommy Lee, Tommy Aldridge, Steve Gadd, Dave Weckl, Mike Portnoy, Vinnie Paul, Rick Allen, Dave Grohl and Matt McDonough.

I’ve been drumming since 2005. I was five years old when I first tried drumming, but it didn’t excite me that much at the time, because I was more interested in playing Rugby.

Everything changed when I tried drumming again at the age of sixteen. That’s when I fell in love with drums and everything related to them. I took drumming lessons from local amateur musicians, but it didn’t give me what I was looking for. Having spent two years in search of a really good drum teacher, I finally found Oleg Boykov, who was simply incredible at teaching how to play drums. I should thank him for showing me how a true musician must practice and what drums are really all about. He taught me so much and I’m very grateful for that.

At the age of 23 I was enrolled in the Moscow Military Orchestra, which allowed me to participate in many various official events, where the Russian President and other heads of state were present. I also took part in Moscow Victory Parade in 2012.

Now I am the drummer for the bands "Going Mental". We have released our debut album recently.
