Hello there! My name is Ivan “BELLY” Belyi, I am 19 years old, I am from Moscow,
Russia and I love playing drums.
My passion for music began in early childhood. I started playing drums at the age of
four, when I had been hitting my nana’s buckets for 8 years and learning the basics of
drumming on IKEA boxes. At 12 years old, I had been pursuing formal education at the
"DrumRoom" drumming school for five years,
where I gained extensive practical and performance experience. My studies also
included jazz and swing music, and over three years of playing in a Big Band orchestra, I
acquired a solid foundation in music theory and sheet music reading in Moscow Jazz
Academy. This diverse musical background has allowed me to be highly adaptable
across various genres and styles, making me a sought-after session drummer for
numerous artists and labels. I have my own project, which is called “PINKPOOL”, but I
would consider myself an independent drummer, because I always want to adjust to
new waves of music art. Now, as a newly signed Soultone Cymbals artist, I'm gonna
expand my opportunities to reach my goals, which will help me to surround myself with
many more ideas and experiences.
