Isaiah Green
19 year old Isaiah Green was born in Los Angeles, CA, July 17, 1997. Music has always been a part of his life. Everyone in his family either sings or plays an instrument so naturally he would to; it just so happened that he picked up sticks, and never went back on it. At the age of 3, Isaiah was allowed to play for Sunday Morning service at Pentecostal Temple Holiness Church, Elliott, S.C., with the assistance of his big cousin Rodriguez Green because he was too short to reach the bass drum pedal.
Isaiah got his first real set of drums when he was just 6 years old and from there his playing took off. With Rod's help and guidance, Isaiah grew and developed his own style. He traveled to many places and played for many churches due to his mother being in the military. He now plays at Christ Church Apostolic Ministries. He has been playing there for 9 years and is well known in the Virginia District of the Pentecostal Assembly of the World as "That young drummer". Isaiah also plays for a good friend and big brother figure Vachel Slade and his group Electric Worship. He also playes for other locacl groups in and around the area. Including "Kingdom Takers" and "Roselle's 17 movement".
He continues to play in church, play for Vachel, other groups as he is needed, and was also the section leader of his high school drum line. He has won many snare solo competitions and his drum line is the 4 year reigning champions of the Mid-Eastern High Stepping National Drum Line Competition that is held at Highland Springs High School in Richmond, VA. He now attends Norfolk State University where he apart of the Spartan Legion Marching Band and is a proud memeber of the Million Dollar Funk Squad. Isaiah is a well rounded musician who not only plays the drums but he is also a solid bass guitar player, and is now teaching himself keyboards. His influences include his cousin Rodriguez Green, Nick Smith, Tim Newton, Calvin Rodgers, and Chris Coleman.
