He is from Cincinnati, Ohio and he plays the drums with a mixture of East and West coast drumming. Started playing drums at 17 feeling very discourage and felt like it was too late. He was highly motivated by his brother James Lindsey Williams to start playing the drums in church. His brother has played with Hezekiah Walker and other New York Artist around the world. “I remember the first time I seen my brother playing with Hezekiah Walker in Madison Square Garden and met the man in which I hit hard today by the name of Jeff Lesley” he said. Since then his mindset has never been the same.
At his home church back in Cincinnati at Southern Baptist Church the man who gave him a foundation was Ernest Byrd Jr. He showed me placement and pocket giving me a chance to play for our church concerts and Sunday worship. I struggled and prayed to GOD to take my drumming to the next level. I started shedding with other drummers from Cincinnati, Kentucky and New York listening to other genres as well to enhance my abilities such as Fusion, Jazz, Funk, R&B, Hip Hop, Rock (Alternative, Hard, and a little Metal).
The drummers who influence me now are Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers, Ronlad Bruner Jr., Calvin Rodgers, Eddie Heyward, Chris Coleman, Eric Moore II, Gerald Heyward, Aaron Spears, Thomas Lang, Steve Smith, Thomas Pridegon, and Tony Royster Jr.
