Ilan Mata, was born and raised in Ardèche, in the south of France.
He started the drum very early and studied it at the Ecole du Groove with Julien O'connor.
Ilan has performed with many musicians, produced original drum covers, passed on his instrument learning techniques to his students, performed several times to lead drum camps and, more recently, wrote two drum books for learning to play Funk, a style of music he is particularly fond of !
Hardworker, creative and ambitious, Ilan announces a busy year 2021 ! Indeed, many projects are in preparation, namely : drum clinic in collaboration with Lucas Harnichard, filming of a musical video, diffusion of his first composition, and creation of a band in order to do many lives, play the emblematic titles of funk !
