Glenn Jost Profile Photo

Originally from Buffalo, NY, left-handed singing drummer Glenn Jost started performing in clubs at age 15 before relentlessly touring throughout the Northeast. In New York City, he played the East Village scene while working with 13-time Grammy Award legend Bob Ludwig at Masterdisk Studios, cleaning his copper masters and absorbing everything he could. Surrounded by world-class music producers, Glenn developed his eclectic songwriting and recording style under the moniker “ReLoVe,” a name awarded by the 4th Annual Billboard Song Contest.

After moving to Los Angeles, Glenn performed at the Playboy Jazz Festival, participated in a USAF tour of Greenland, appeared with Gigolettes on KTLA Channel 5, and worked as the lounge drummer on the FOX TV show Ally McBeal. He also performed with The Horse Soldiers (GNP Crescendo/Sony), contributed a track for “Cowboy Christmas” (Scotti Bros./WEA), and performed with the original Broadway hit Dreamgirls. During this time, Glenn also recorded three albums with Laura Hall from the TV comedy Whose Line Is It Anyway?, and played with the Improv All-Stars, backing the late actor and comedian Robin Williams.

In 2008, Glenn began booking, performing, and co-managing three national touring acts with David Victor, formerly of Boston. Together they created the bands Bostyx, Platinum Rockstars, and the theatrical show concept Rock Stars & Stripes, which later licensed performance rights to Carnival Cruise Lines and was produced exclusively at sea.

Glenn revived ReLoVe in 2019 with a renewed sense of purpose, releasing the EP “Music on a Mission!” on AWAL Records. The release reached #164 on the NACC College Radio Charts and led to signed sync licensing agreements with Netflix (“Bill Nye Saves the World”), Discovery Network & Partners, TLC (“The Healer”), PBS (“Road Trip Nation”), A&E, MTV (“The Real World”), and more.

In 2020, Glenn met singer Paulie Z, formerly of The Sweet, and together they formed Bohemian Queen, LLC, creating one of the top-grossing Queen tribute shows in the United States. The show performs in theaters, performing arts centers, festivals, and has held a casino residency at South Point Las Vegas. They have also rented theaters as promoters, posting numbers in Pollstar, with some shows exceeding $60,000 in gross box office receipts.

In 2024, Glenn and Paulie Z launched the music production company ZENN Entertainment, LLC, expanding their business model to include additional acts and entertainment services.

If you'd like, I can also tighten this into a shorter professional artist bio (about 150–200 words), which is usually better for endorsement pages, press kits, and artist profiles.

Artist Spotlight – Glenn Jost

Soultone Cymbals artist Glenn Jost discusses how he stays working as a professional
drummer by creating business opportunities with talent buyers, who purchase bands
with the ‘soul’ intention of ROI. (return on investment)
Cymbal Setup: 14” Custom Brilliant Hi-Hats, 20” Custom Brilliant Ride, 18” & 19”
Explosion Crashes, 19” Explosion China-Type
Question for Glenn: “With over 75 shows on the books already in 2026 throughout the
US, how do you stay working all the time?”
“I’ve always been proactive in creating high-level shows that sell tickets, and I’m
sympathetic to talent buyers who purchase bands, because it’s a risky business. I
commit 100% to making our shows as financially successful as possible for our clients.
Practicing chops at home and being prepared are both important, but the phone doesn’t
always ring for gigs. To stay working, I have found the D.I.Y. approach works best. Do
your research and make sure you have a sellable product, then commit to building your
network, stay on the phone, and make deals happen. It also helps to have an ally or
business partner, to share the massive workload in building a storefront, or
entertainment company, to stand upon. I was fortunate to team up with frontman Paulie
Z. We both came from classic rock, so we built a tribute band company to get started.
www.zennentertainment.com We balance out each other with daily operations, booking
shows, renting theaters, organizing creative assets, social media, website, accounting,
promotion, and most importantly building our client relationships, and loyal fan base
which is critical to staying in business. From here, we can expand in many different
directions!”
