Emmanuel "Laykay" Dada

Emmanuel "Laykay" Dada took an early interest to music and the drums as an up growing kid in church at the age of 3. The mantle of anointing on his grandparents was passed down to him and this anointing manifested in his life through a musical inclination. Laykay's fascination with rhythm and percussion began on simple couches, chairs and tables as well as pots and pans. He continued to play in churches and with local community choirs throughout the city of Kaduna devoting the gift of drumming back to the Lord.

Laykay got his first major Performance with the 'Set Him Off' programme (Musical Concert) in London at R.C.C.G Living spring centre when Minstrel Dayo Bello and God's Gift heard him playing the drums and offered him the opportunity to minister with him. Laykay also continued to play for artistes such as Deitrick Haddon, Chevelle Frankyln, Tonya Baker, Pastor Kunle Ajayi, OBI Shine, Muyiwa & Riversongs, Sonnie Badu, Gabriel Eziashi, Remi Odumesi, Ben Okafor, Mike Aremu, Asu Ekiye, Tim Godfrey, Sammy Okposo, Wale Adenuga and many others just to name a few. Laykay was part of the London based Gospel Jazz musical band called the 4Seasons and is now a member of the Gospel Live Recording group "HIS LEVITES". He is privileged to be part of the Festival of life Choir which is a major Mass choir of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God (R.C.C.G London) with the event "Festival Of Live" taking place twice every year.

Laykay was part of the London based Gospel Jazz musical band called the 4Seasons and he was privileged to play and arrange the Rhythm and percussion for their first debut album "Sound of Light" with tracks including Harvest of Light, Daylight dream and ATEKPA.

Laykay has been blessed to record with some great musicians and producers like Ayobami Soetan(Light child), Shabach Akinyele, Precious Obimdi, 4 Season Band, Ayobami "Light Child" Soetan and Jason Emberton.
