Derris Lee has recorded albums and performances with EMMY and GRAMMY Award-winning Artists such as José Valentino, Lannie Battistini and Bruno Miranda, executing versatility through the musical styles of Jazz, Funk, Gospel, R'n'B, Latin Jazz, Festejo, Bomba, Rumba and Contemporary Classical. Derris is internationally known for his ferocity and well-roundedness on the drums and continues to expand the field as an internationally-recognized percussionist. He has served as percussionist and drummer for Gospel Billboard 100 Artist Kevin LaVar at the age of 12 and 2-time Stellar Award-winning artist Ree. Performing arts educators, deans and directors from various regions of the nation have consulted with Derris about how to navigate through academia as a music entrepreneur and he will present at the 2021 Society for Arts Entrepreneurship Education Salon Series this year.

As of Summer of 2021, Derris has been involved in projects of which a few were the "Top-15 Most Voted" in the 2021 Latin GRAMMYs.
