Growing up in an extremely musical family of nine, Danny was practically raised on nothing but music. Although he started as a pianist and singer, he took up the drums at age 10 and developed extremely fast. By eighth grade, he was playing every weekend with a 70s rock cover band and touring full time every summer. Danny attended Luther College on a jazz scholarship where he studied percussion performance (with Dr. Juan Tony Guzman and percussionist Michael Geary) and communication studies.
Following college, he moved to Los Angeles where he continued playing drums and eventually worked for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. There he was given the opportunity to debut the Broadway show Hairspray and Chicago on the world’s largest cruise ships, Oasis and Allure as well as work as an independent contractor recording the drum tracks for the new shows that Royal Caribbean Productions released.
Danny is currently based out of New York City but is currently on the road with the National Tour of American Idiot the Musical. He was also recently the drummer/percussionist and drum book composer on the new broadway bound show, The Nutty Professor, working with Jerry Lewis, Rupert Holmes and the late, great Marvin Hamlish.
Danny has also previously toured on the national tour of Young Frankenstein the musical and the 80's hair band Nelson, has made back-line appearances on the TV show Smash, and played with artists including Shania Twain, Liza Minnelli, Ann Hampton Callaway, Lorna Luft, Derryl Perry, The Platters, The Drifters, The Four Tops, Maureen McGovern, Andrea Clearfield and many more…
He is very excited about his endorsement with Soultone and can’t wait to see what the future holds!
