Cory D. Brown “C-Maestro”

Drummer, percussionist Cory Brown inherited his talent and passion for music from his family. He grew up in Baltimore, Maryland playing in church and has been playing the drums and singing since 1994. As a self-taught drummer, it was his love for live R&B music that built the foundation of his playing. He is a founding member of the VirtuoSoul band (Est.in 1997). His abilities expand beyond just playing the drums, he has a wealth of knowledge about music and has a keen ear for sound quality for both instruments and vocals. His passion and love for playing is visible and felt through the energy released when he lays the sticks to the drums.

Cory's experience ranges from playing with a variety of local bands (No Hid’n Agenda, VirtuoSoul, etc.) throughout the Maryland, DC and Virginia area, to gracing the stage at the Hard Rock Café (Atlantic City, NJ). He has recorded at Harvest Moon Studios in Martinez, California and The Sheffield Institute for the Performing Arts in Phoenix, Maryland. He plays regularly at local venues and festivals. His genre of music includes R&B, Pop, Neo-Soul, Gospel, Jazz, Hip Hop and Reggae, which is a representation of his diversification as a percussionist.

Cory is a music entrepreneur, who is determined to take his band and skills to the next level by perfecting his craft, building his brand, creativity with his music and networking with others in the music industry. He welcomes opportunities to showcase his talent and further solidify his career as a professional drummer.
