Coco Butter Band

Coco began playing drums at 18 years of age and took lessons from Philadelphia drumming legend, Tom Walling, who taught him the importance of pocket/groove drumming. Coco currently plays for the Philly musical powerhouse, Coco Butter Band. Coco Butter Band is a Hammond Organ soaked soul, funk, and blues band who relentlessly perform throughout the northeast US and Philadelphia region. The band has received many accolades including performing as duo winners for the Steel City Blues Society at the 2014 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN, hosting a television program for DittyTV Network in Memphis, being a featured band on NPR and performing at top local venues including The Sellersville Theater. The band consists of Liam Bouterre who performs triple duty as singer, bassist and Hammond Organ/Rhodes/Keys player while Coco doubles down on vocals and drums. They have a rotating cast of guitarists and horn players that help make up this unique sound.
