Chris Kallian

Chris Kallianiotis was born in 1997, grew up in a small apartment in Brooklyn, NY, and always had an interest in playing drums. Before he could even walk on his own 2 feet, he would use pots, pans, and chop sticks from his kitchen to create his own beats. He would watch MTV, and other live shows and try and copy the same things other drummers would do.

2004-2006
In August of 2004, at the age of 6 years old, his parents divorced and he moved to his current town of Plainville, CT with his mother. He then started to play on an actual series of drum pads and started to learn patterns and the basic rudiments. He then started to discover a wide variety of punk, alternative, classic rock, and even some pop music. His biggest influence of all time at the time was Green Day.

2007-2012
In February of 2007, Chris bought his very first Tama Stagestar drum kit. He learned a variety of songs by, Green Day, The All American Rejects, blink 182, Guns N Roses and many more!
In 2009, his mother and grandmother bought him a Gretsch Blackhawk kit for Christmas. In 2010, he discovered a new band called Avenged Sevenfold. Listening to that band, it opened him up to a more metal style yet still carrying on his punk/pop punk style.

2013-2015
In 2013, Chris got a Pearl Export kit which is now his current drum kit that he plays. He created his first band called Mental Fiction in January of 2013. They played til June of that year and only played 3 shows and broke up after that. Meanwhile, he started to develop a more Metalcore style in his drumming. He got into more emo bands such as blessthefall, Of Mice & Men, Memphis May Fire, Issues, I See Stars, Asking Alexandria and so much more. But that still never stopped him from listening to his main influences. In September of 2014, Chris joined his High School Jazz Band for his entire senior year. Chris had never played jazz before, but as soon as he learned, it had opened him up to bigger and better fills he used around his main styles of music. While he played jazz, he learned how to use a double bass pedal on the side. In March 2015, He debuted his first drum cover on youtube which was Shadow Moses by Bring Me The Horizon. In June 2015, Chris graduated from Plainville High School.

2016-Present
In January of 2016, Chris joined a pop punk band called The Worthwhile Fight. While going to college, and working at a burger joint, Chris was balancing all 3 things. He played various shows with The Worthwhile Fight and did a summer tour with them in the summer of 2016 going as far as Nashville, TN, and Cleveland, OH. Later that fall, the singer of The Worthwhile Fight left out of the blue to go on vacation in Europe and at the same time, the lead guitarist had left for school. In the Fall of 2016 Chris and 2 other members of The Worthwhile Fight had created a brand new Pop Punk(core) project called Say What You Will. At the same time, Chris Joined a hardcore project called The Epitome that was signed to Manifest Records. In early 2017, he became endorsed by Soultone cymbals. Also in early 2017, The Epitome had opened for big acts such as Carnifex and debuted their first EP called Self-Hated Sunday School Reject. In April 2017, Chris left The Epitome to focus on his other, more important band, Say What You Will. Say What You Will announced their existence in late April of 2017 with getting over 700 likes on their facebook page in 24 hours! They are playing a series of shows in the northeast region summer of 2017 and debuting their first EP Seconds To Home on July 14th, 2017.
