Brylon Terry
Brylon Terry is a South Florida based drummer growing up in West Palm
Beach. Born in Miami, FL, his passion for music was evident as his home
was filled with gospel contemporary greats such as Ron Kenoly, Don Moen,
Helen Baylor and Take 6 to name a few. His gravitational pull to drums was
clear when he was 4 years old and as one growing up in the church, he was
introduced to the world of gospel. At age 7, he started to be a substitute for
the church when the other substitutes and main drummer were not
available. Throughout his middle school years and into high school, his skills
had since been sharpened primarily of the school he attended, Indian River
Charter High in Vero Beach, FL. Teachers such as Dr. Ray Adams, Mr. Dave
Mundy and Mr. Gary Miller are key people who attributed his successes to.
Moving to South Florida in 2014, he soon got plugged into Trinity Church
International where his love of music strengthened even more especially in
ministry. Being at that church, he soon met JP Lemos, a fellow endorsed or
Soultone and was soon impressed by their quality and sound. Terry has
recorded and played drums for local artists such as James Tucker III, The
Overambitious, 212 Band, V Connection Band and Kizie The Violist.
Brylon about Soultone: I love the fact that they are hand hammered and they sound better
than what I have played before. They have great sonics that you
wouldn’t get from a machined cymbal
The people here at Soultone have helped me in finding my sound, my voice and to explore various
options. The cymbal artist relations have treated me well. They have helped me choose my
cymbals and depending on the musi.
