Bryan Dixon

Bryan Dixon

Bryan has been playing drums for 17 years, and got his start in a punk band that eventually morphed into a band that some may be familiar with, As Cities Burn. He was one of the founding members of that band and played/grew up with them. To this day, he still calls them some of my closest friends. After As Cities Burn, he took a bit of a hiatus, and played for a few churches and artists in the Baton Rouge area. Just when he thought things might be coming to an end, he was asked to join a band out of Dallas, Tx called Oceans Firing. They had good success in Dallas, and toured the States multiple times, even getting signed to a sub label of Warner Brothers to subsequently be dropped right before recording their full length because the label went bankrupt. Oceans Firing still recorded their record, but have yet to release it. Once that had come to an end, he had the privilege to play with many artists in churches in the state of Texas. These include Aaron Wagner, Wayne Kerr, Isaac Wimberly, Rob Wilson, and Chris Clayton. He has also had the opportunity to record with many of these artists as well. Although Bryan is not traveling/touring full time anymore, he still has had many opportunities to play as a “first-call” for multiple people, and also do most of his playing for 2000+ people per week at various camps around the country. Bryan's steady gig, if you will, is playing drums for the Elevate service at Second Baptist Church’s North Campus, and the multiple youth services they have.
