Braden Poirier, born and raised in Inverness, Cape Breton, Canada. He began playing drums at the age of
11, saving up money for his first drum kit, it didn’t take long for drumming to become more of a hobby.
Around the age of 16, Braden began performing publically, from talent shows, variety concerts, to local
summer festivals around the immediate area.
Braden is currently playing as an independent artist, recording drum covers, and working as a session
artist for hired tracks or as a hired fill in.
From rock to jazz, punk to classical, and everything in between, Braden enjoys mastering his craft by
working unorthodox beats into different genres to make them fit. His true passion, is making music his
own, and putting his own spin onto other tracks, so when people hear the track, they know it is his.
His favorite part of playing drums, is the yearly “Maritime Drum off,” every spring in northern New
Brunswick. He enjoys learning from other drummers as well as sharing his knowledge in group
discussions.
Braden plans to continue working as an independent artist, recording remote session tracks for other
artists, he enjoys the role of session drummer with little commitment and more room for creativity in his
tracks.
Braden Currently holds an endorsement with SJC Drums, he also works closely with uDrum for his snare
drums.
