Bill Harvat

Bill Harvat has been playing as a professional drummer in Omaha, Nebraska for over ten years and has paid his dues drumming in symphonic ensembles, jazz ensembles and collegiate marching drumlines. Bill is currently the drummer for the indie-alt rock band Flight Metaphor, the 10 piece classic cover band Finest Hour, and has played as a session drummer for several other artists in the area.

The Soultone Natural series cymbals are Bill's current choice for playing live and in the studio. Bill says, "The way the cymbals sit in their own space and don't fight with the guitars is a big plus for me. I like to be able to hear each instrument on its own when I listen to a band or recording. The Soultone Natural series excel at making dynamic playing easy for a drummer. I can really lay into them when I need to and they don't get incredibly brash and lose their musical quality. And then when it's time to sit underneath the band and groove, I can blend seamlessly into the song to let the rest of the band shine. The cymbals provide all of this, and I never hear a sound from my cymbals that I don't like. Being referred to Soultone cymbals by my friend and fellow professional drummer, Matt Tobias, has been a great experience for me. Being a newer artist and getting the exceptional treatment and support from Iki has made the Soultone cymbal family feel like a great place to be. I can't wait to record our next album with the cymbals and will be using them live all summer on our tour dates and festivals. With how great these cymbals sound, I can't wait to hear what Soultone comes up with next."
