hose who know Ben Harrington would say he is a man of many different talents. After all, it is his job. He is the CEO of Right of Way Records located presently in Jackson, Tennessee. When he is not in the studio recording, he is the drummer for Veldarose, an alternative-progressive rock band also located in Jackson.
Ben Harrington was born in Normal, Illinois in the Spring of 1990. Ben acquired a love for music at a young age, enjoying listening to vinyl with his father. In high school, he was a member of the drum line. At age 14, Ben got his first drum kit. Soon after, he and his friends started their first band, Harder to Fall. In his later teens, he acquired a love for recording music. He set up his first recording station in his room with his laptop and the live room was in his family’s living room.
This passion led to his decision of attending Lambuth University to continue his education in producing and engineering. Ben will graduate in December 2011 with a degree in Entertainment Music Industry. It was during his first year of college that Veldarose formed. The band has played numerous local shows over the years and have recently started playing in more cities. Ben’s passion for music and the strong bond between the members can be felt during every performance thru his hard-hitting techniques and the tightness of the band. He puts his whole body into the performance, resulting in an emotional vibe that not many bands can effectively communicate these days.
