Auguste Donald Dogbo

Auguste Donald Dogbo

Born in the Ivory Coast, Donald Dogbo was introduced to the drums at a very young age. He joins several bands through which he will develop his talent and start touring all over Africa. In 2002, he enrolled at the Conservatoire de l’Institut National Supérieur des Arts et de l’Action Culturelle (INSAAC) in Abidjan where he will undergo an intensive one-year training. He then moved to Senegal in 2004, where he became a drummer for Senegalese rapper Awadi, and toured the world while working with several other renowned African artists such as Mao Otayeck, former conductor of Alpha Blondy and guitarist of Stevie Wonder. Otayeck also had a great influence on the career of Dogbo, who today, is constantly on tour and takes advantage of this opportunity to give Masterclasses and thus, shares his passion with the youth, the next generation. In 2014, he decided to immigrate to Canada, a country where his talent followed him and where he immediately took his place in the Montreal, Quebec and Canadian art communities. He has also had the opportunity to record with artists such as Elage Diouf, Zal Sissokho, Wesli, Djely Tapa, Just Wôan and Yamoussa Bangoura (Kalabante Productions).
