Atsu Fukushima

Atsu Fukushima is an orchestral percussionist and drummer who grew up in Japan.

Mr. Fukushima started playing percussions and drums at 13, and came to the States in 2005 to study in Los Angeles Music Academy (LAMA) where he studied with Ralph Humphrey, Joe Porcaro, Aaron Serfaty and Mike Shapiro. After finishing his certificate program in LAMA, Mr. Fukushima changed his major instrument to orchestral percussion and studied with Raynor Carroll, Cynthia Yeh, and Rainer Seegers. In 2009, he was accepted to an orchestra member of Pacific Music Festival (PMF) which is one of most famous music festival in the world. Mr. Fukushima is currently living in Zurich, Switzerland, where he is an active performer in classical music field.
