Armond Brown

Starting from the age of 5 I always had a passion for playing the drums but, the age of 15 I decided that playing was something that I would pursue professionally. This simple decision would not only direct my career path but it would change my entire life. I would describe my style of playing as a mix of Jazz, Latin, Gospel, Fusion, and Drum & Bass. Some of my influences are Chris Dave, Buddy Rich, Vinnie Colaiuta, Aaron Spears and ?uestlove. Having traveled across the country playing in different venues I diversified my skills by playing with a wide range of artists. Some of them include, Marvin Sapp, Mike Burrell, Pastor Marvin Winans, Warryn Campbell, and I am the current drummer for the Hip-Hop group Pacific Division. In 2007 I was named the district champion in the Annual Guitar Center Drum-Offs. My ultimate goal is to earn my masters degree and impart my love for music into the next generation by teaching.
