Adam Catron

Adam Catron was born in 1983 in Westfield, Indiana. The Funk-Jazz drummer has been playing for over 15 years, and, with an exponentially increasing local and regional fan-base, considers Indianapolis his true home.

“I consider every drummer that ever played before me an influence, in every way.”
~Buddy Rich

Adam was influenced by Led Zeppelin early in his career, with his attention turning to Jazz artists, such as Buddy Rich, and eventually focusing on the funky and soulful music of James Brown. Adam honed his talent by attending drum clinics and playing with other local drummers. He used these activities as opportunities to polish his technical skills and became a certified drum circle instructor through Bongo Boy Music School.

His band The Twin Cats, which he co-founded in high school with his twin brother, is currently signed with the record label Owl Studios alongside distinguished Funk and Jazz artists including The Headhunters and Derrick Gardner.

Adam draws inspiration from Vinnie Colaiuta, John Bonham, John Blackwell, Adam Deitch, David Garibaldi, Clyde Stubblefield, Buddy Rich and many other musicians from a wide range of genres. This is reflected through his musical versatility and passionate performances.
